Since summer 2021, I have offered a fire-proofing service for the flags I produce.
For an additional fee of £30, your Handmade Banner will be treated with Eco-Sol Flametect C, a process which will make the banner fire resistant for a period of five years from the date of treatment (assuming that the banner is kept dry and handled according to care instructions).
Customers who opt for this service will receive a certificate of treatment specific to their individual banner, confirming that the banner has been treated and conforms to BS5867 Type 2 Part B, the standard required for entry into UK stadia.
Your “Banner Passport” will also carry a statement to this effect in French, German, Spanish and Italian, and will come neatly folded and protected by a card “passport cover” and a transparent document wallet. This can be safely kept with your flag in your Banner Bag, ready to produce whenever you need it.
An accompanying label will be added to the reverse of the banner to satisfy any stadium staff that it is fire-treated to the required standard.
Eco-Sol Flametect C has been tested in independent UK laboratories and has been shown to meet the relevant British Standards.
