Only the third banner I’ve designed that isn’t a Liverpool flag, this is a very special piece of work commissioned by Liam Cooch as a gift for his friend who is motorsport mad, and who is a particular fan of Valentino Rossi.
all on a background of fluorescent yellow, fitting for the man they call “The Highlighter Pen”.
For an extra touch of class, I have included a reproduction of the great man’s signature.
The great man has just officially announced his retirement from racing, but is reported to be in the process of setting up his own Moto GP team, no doubt looking to achieve the same success as a team principal that he did as a rider. There are few people who transcend their sport and are known across the world even to those who know nothing about that sport – think Michael Schumacher, Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Sachin Tendulkar, Serena Williams – “The Doctor” is certainly one such icon.
Given that the colour scheme for this is not quite what I’m used to, I had to place special orders for fabrics after drawing up the design. Watch this space for updates…
