A group of Liverpool supporters in this North Bulgarian city, the historical and spiritual capital of Bulgaria, wanted a banner to show their allegiance to their beloved football club across the continent.
The design draws on a few elements – the colours of the Bulgarian flag are evident in the letters, while the lion, flanking the text alongside a Liverbird, is a national symbol of Bulgaria.
The font choices are inspired by the ‘heavy metal football’ of Liverpool’s new Golden Age under Jürgen Klopp. The overall aesthetic is fitting for the global support that a club like LFC inspires – different, eclectic, but always respectful of tradition.
