When embarking on another continental odyssey with the Red Men, the best advice is to pack light. Often, dedicated Liverpool supporters will travel either on a single day or will spend a night sleeping al fresco with just the clothes on their backs.
For these ventures, certain things are de rigeur – an old bucket hat, a pair of trabbs bearing the famous three stripes (or Nike 110s for the kids), and, of course, a handmade banner.
Better pack light, as the likelihood is we’ll be bringing home some silverware – 6 European Cups, 3 UEFA cups and four UEFA Super Cups have so far been the spoils from our travels.
This banner celebrates the traditions of these trips, using an Adidas font, an iconic 1980s bucket hat, a sweet pair of Kegler Supers, and, of course, the Liverbird and a shiny piece of Henderson hand-luggage.
To finish it off, a logo of my own design which melds the famous trefoil with the Liverbird’s head, and the legend “UNBEARABLE – SINCE 1977”.
And finally, it all comes together…
