If you know, you know.

1993. A time full of hope in the City. The hard times of the 80s were behind us, and Liverpool was a city on the up. We were a cultural centre once again, and young people from across the region were making the pilgrimage every weekend to let loose. House anthems like Robin S’ “Show Me Love” were the soundtrack to our Friday and Saturday nights.

Nobody would have foreseen the title drought that had just begun. With young talents like Fowler and McManaman were breaking through to join storied veterans like Barnes and Rush. The good times were surely here to stay.

27 years later, and the title drought was all too real, but the City once again has the optimism we all felt at that time. This banner design is a celebration of hope finally fulfilled, and a tribute to the team that brought the good times back to Liverpool.

The tune will now be forever tied in the minds of Reds to Virgil and Fabinho dancing round the dressing room celebrating the title won. Iconic.
